Located on the busy James street near popular Trader Joe’s, is Kulshan Brewery. Kulshan is one of the most popular and highest-rated breweries in Bellingham. For a few years Kulshan was the only brewery within walking distance for Sunnyland residence and has really a staple in the neighborhood. Kulshan has grown in popularity to the point there is even a K2 in town as well.
Then 2 years ago came Twin Sisters Brewery, located closer to the industrial south end of Sunnyland. Twin Sisters offers an incredible space with a massive indoor and outdoor eatery, a field for kids to play in and even a tasting room. This family-friendly establishment has been particularly popular in the summer, as one of the few restaurants and breweries with a large fenced in outdoor area. It’s also one of the few breweries with a full kitchen and restaurant.
Now Sunnyland has a 3rd brewery that opened up this summer. Just 2 blocks from Twin Sisters on 2121 Humboldt street is Otherlands Brewery. With a unique European Rustic feel and a more boutique setting, this is a great addition to the neighborhood! Our own Nicole Tingvall paid Otherlands a visit recently and had a great experience.
