John L Scott Real Estate broker Heather Stevenson has been a resident of the Sudden Valley for over 18 years, and she shares some of her favorite attributes of the community. This includes the convenience store, the wet and dry docks and marina, the multiple parks, and the lake access.

Sudden Valley is located just east of Bellingham along the shores of Lake Whatcom, and this is the 2nd biggest planned community in Washington state. Sudden Valley attracts many newcomers with more affordable housing than the city limits of Bellingham, yet still in the Bellingham school district. The treed feel and access to trails and the lake provide additional appeal.

Heather not only lives in Sudden Valley, but her Real Estate practice specializes in this community. If you would like to reach out to her to learn more click here.

Sudden Valley has very distinct locations. Gate 1 and Gate 2 on the Lake Whatcom side offer generally more sunlight, and closer in access to the amenities and the lake. Gate 3, 5, 7 and 9 offer more bang for the buck on the housing options, and in some cases, closer access to city limits and bike trails that take you to Galbraith Mountain.
